Did they? More accurately, all the kids grew up to have decent money and keep themselves glamorized with the proper makeup and other accessories. And even then, many of them look normal. I’d argue that most of them look normal.
Look at Daniel Radcliffe. When he’s not played up as attractive, he looks average.
If you’d never seen him in a movie, would you pick this guy out of a crowd as anything but average?
Or take Rupert Grint. He looks incredibly normal.
Heck, a lot of women would probably rate him below average.
And yes, people squeal over Neville’s “glow-up,” but he’s as normal as the rest.
Does have a nice smile, though.
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Emma Watson. Even casual, she’s beautiful.
Casual or dolled up, she’s stunning.
I’ll grant you that she’s genuinely an attractive actress who stands out even in normal clothing. But she’s the exception to the rule, as the other actresses look as normal as the guys.
Here’s Bonnie Francesca Wright, for example. Perfectly normal woman.
People were complaining she was too ugly for Ginny while she was in the movies. Cruel.
Last but not least, here’s Evanna Lynch. Attractive, but normal.
Reminds me of a few friends here at college. She doesn’t look out of place walking around.
All that to say, the Harry Potter cast looks normal, by and large. Only 1 of the 6 we looked at is a standout beauty that you’d really notice in a crowd. The rest look average. Typical. Normal. For some reason, we just elevate actors and actresses as more beautiful and more enticing than ordinary people by virtue of their status. Humans are weird that way.
But if you saw these guys on the street, you wouldn’t think twice. You might vaguely recognize them, but there’s a good chance you wouldn’t.
All except Emma Watson. She really is gorgeous.
